Photographic Composition Review

Students were placed into table groups. Each group was given a stack of photographs that I ripped from an old photography book. On the Promethean board I gave the students 10 compositional guidelines to find. One for each photograph. They were asked to write the guideline on a sticky note along with a sentence describing why the photograph fit the guideline. This was a good activity to review the compositional guidelines for students who were enrolled in the first semester and a great introduction for the new students.
